MOPS: Weekly support group assists Little Rock teen mothers
30-Sep-2011 LITTLE ROCK (KTHV) -- Nearly 700 teenagers give birth in Pulaski County every year. A new weekly support group has starting in Little Rock and is committed to meeting the needs of these young mothers and their children through encouragement, mentoring and free resources.Teen MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is part of the faith-based organization, MOPS International, which has thousands of mothering support groups around the nation, including nearly 100 for teen mothers. Little Rock Teen MOPS is the first teen support group in Arkansas. Meetings take place every Thursday from 6:15 - 7:45 p.m. at Mosaic Church located on 6420 Colonel Glenn Road in Little Rock
